Raised in isolation by his father, the boy knew neither city nor Home Stone. The lessons of his youth were simple: survive, hunt, fight, endure. When the year of his manhood arrived, his father departed upon unknown business and never returned. Days became hands, hands became moons, until chance intervened. A pirate galley found the young survivor and, recognizing more value in his sword arm than in his chains, offered him a place among the crew. It was aboard those decks that Fang first learned the language of the sea, earning his passage to Port Kar through steel rather than birthright.

Like many who arrived upon Kar's wharves with nothing, he began as little more than a Street Urt. Years of hardship, discipline, and determination carried him into the Warrior Caste, where he earned both respect and reputation. Later, a wound to his left thigh ended the life he had known, but not the man he intended to become. Refusing to surrender to age or injury, he turned from the sword to the written word, entering the Blue Caste as a student of law. What began as study became advocacy, and advocacy eventually led to the Magistrate's chair, where judgment proved every bit as sharp as the blade he no longer carried into battle.

Merchant Captain, Advocate, Magistrate, Warrior, Commander, Praetor, scribe... the names by which Gor has known him are many. His merchant fleet crossed the Thassa for generations, his judgments settled disputes between cities, and his influence quietly shaped lives that would never know his hand had guided them. Those closest to him know him simply as the Patriarch of House Bandit, whose bloodlines reached through bultiple bloodlines scattered across Gor. (Carver, DelSol, Alighieri, etc)

Those who have traveled widely speak of stranger things. They claim the old man appears wherever history is about to change. That he knows cities before they are built and remembers rulers long forgotten. That he carries himself like a Warrior, speaks like a Magistrate, bargains like a Merchant, and watches like something older still. Fang never confirms such stories. He simply smiles around the stem of his ever-present pipe, allowing others to decide for themselves where truth ends and legend begins.

He is, above all else, a keeper of memory. A man who believes that cities rise and fall, banners fade, and names are forgotten—but history endures only if someone remains to remember it.
