Shane was a peasant farmer's son, who was forced off land his family had farmed for generations, after the land had been sold. Shane's father was forced to sell Shane as a slave to an old peasant friend of his, who has now died intestate. A dispute arose over who owned Huw, which could not be resolved. Shane decided then to go walkabout and find a man in one of the cities along the Olni to submit to for a more secure life. In the city of Lara, he submitted to the Head Slaver as a kajirus of Lara on 29 June 2026 and is now known as Morgan.
