Shy and quiet

Eve was born in Torvaldsland, the daughter of a camp cook and a berserker.

From childhood she was troubled by strange dreams—winged women, storms, old halls, battle, and voices she could never quite understand.

She studied anything she could find about the old ways, songs, stories, and forgotten tales of the North.

Some felt less like stories and more like memories.

Later came slavery, when she was taken south and owned by a man far from the land of her birth.

Then freedom, the forests, and the panthers.

Even now, Eve cannot explain the dreams.

She only knows they have followed her all her life.
