No matter what life you're in, just celebrate the individual you are. Always be true to yourself, no matter what others think and go to sleep with peace.
Side Note: In SL where people never really know each other and most won't put forth the effort to try... it is important to remember these things to be true... 1) People are insecure and do not like to feel threatened, 2) No you don't have to "do" anything to make them feel as such and last but not least 3) If they're talking about you, they're giving some other poor sucker a break.
