Maren

My character is prickly. I'm not.

Maren is a throughbred Winter Dreams line slave from the True Colors pleasure garden in Lydius born with defects that make him displeasing. Resting bitch face, high strung, cold, and unpersonable. He sustained injuries to his eyes causing massive astigmatisms and requiring glasses to see. He heard one day a rumor about a displeasing male slave being sold to the salt mines and Maren found a way to escape the garden.

On his way out he met Wynthar, an insecure good ginger boy afraid of the same fate. They fled together but we're caught, brought back, beaten, and sent to the Lydius market, sold off like common stock at humiliating prices.

They were bought by a man called Dex of the Nightfall company and his companion Aetes, who belongs to the family that owns the garden. Infuriated, his secondary owner went, fired staff, and acquired his paperwork.

Maren has served his owners for 15 years, though in the past year, Dex has disappeared. Aetes has taken over as his owner. Maren is colder than usual, devastated because he believes he's been abandoned. He's become reclusive. He spends most of his time with Wynnie. If given the chance, he'd probably throw himself into the Thassa.
