From The Wastes where I was born I was captured, spoil of war, and taken to Klima, collared but not branded. I escaped and bought a passage to Oasis of Four Palms with gold coins I had hidden. Robbed of the remaining coins while sleeping at Oasis of Nine Wells by a caravan of raiders, I was left behind what allowed me to find a blacksmith and get rid of the collar. Having learned the job, I wished to travel to a less hot climate, and after months of travel by caravan and ship I finally arrived.
