Thomas Davenport was Ship's Cook on the Black Herlit. A burly, boisterous, bulky man, a heavy drinker and hard fighter, Tom was the life and soul of the crew, and popular in every port he set foot in.

"This happy era came to an end when Captain Ravenwood and his crew were betrayed by the Rence Farmers while on a secret mission hunting Kurri in the Vosk Delta, and were given over to the Kurri. On a spaceship hovering over the marshes, the captain and his crew were subjected to an horrific experiment, designed to undermine the very basis of Gorean society: - a serum that will ensure gorean men can no longer count on remaining *male* after suffering capture and defeat. Transformed into "exotic" kajira, designed to serve as wet-nurses or breeders (rather than dancers), with outsized breasts & childbearing hips, Captain Dagon and her crewmen were sent to serve the Cu Sith gang in Port Kar."

Tom Davenport stayed on board the Black Herlit and only learned what had happened some weeks later, when he received a message from a girl called Dagny, asking him to meet her in Port Kar. Tom complied, and was soon apprised on the truth.

Acting as a henchmen for his transformed crewmates, Tom was soon involved in a plot to launch a revolution in Port Kar, so that his girlish crewmates could seize control of the docks. But Tom was overpowered by the authorities, and the revolution betrayed, and Tom was shipped out from his prison one dark night in a small boat, headingt into the Vosk Delta...

Tom awoke as Melissa Davenport, and believes she has always been so, having been given a complete personality overwrite which left her believing that she had grown up as a simple-minded farm-girl in Torvaldsland. Melissa is a bondmaid, and now serves has Head Cook for the Master of Nighogger Village.

She has recently received news from her old friend Dagny, summoning her to the Castle of the Black Herlits....
