Ryuji Sanada

The youngest of the three sons of the Ubar of Forest Port, Ryuji Sanada was a warrior who displayed immense talent for military strategy and the martial arts from a very early age, and was the youngest to serve his Homestone as First Sword.

But Ryuji's promising career was cut short when he was captured, while defending his home against a treacherous night-raid. Forest Port was burned to the ground, his family scattered, and Ryuji presumed dead.

But a fate worse than death awaited the young warrior, for Ryuji was sold into the service of the Priest Kings of Sardar, who had the young warrior genetically modified to serve them as a "Mul", castrating and feminising him with their serums - to render Ryuji pliable and docile.

After many long decades, the Nest was destroyed. Ryuji escaped, much changed from the bold young man that he was, blinking into the light. Here, in the mountains of Sradar, Ryuji was captured by the huntsman Etana, who had him collared, trained as a Kajira, and renamed Ubara, in mockery of his claim to have been a son of an Ubar and First Sword.

Hearing rumours that his older brother Masamune Sanada was now Ubar of Lara, Ubara begged her Master to visit the city, and to restore him to his lost family, promising that they will pay Etana handsomely.

Although sceptical, Etana is aware that his pet has clearly undergone extensive physical modification at the hands of the Priest Kings, and that Ubara's story is not impossible. He therefore has decided to visit the city of Lara to test the veracity of these claims. The two are sailing there now...
