There is one mention of very small sect of people who whorship the sun. Sota is one of them. Is he a cultist?, a initiate's apprentice? If Pani had castes, would he be an Initiate or just a religious fanatic? Although he carries a weapon, and has not shaved his head, perhaps he is just a warrior afterall

Sota, a first generation Gorean was taken from Northern Japan to Gor by the Priest Kings when he was barely twenty. Son of a Rich war Lord on Earth he was deposited in the forests near the encampment as Tarl Cabot came on the Scene. Recognized for his skills as a Warrior and being raised on Earth he was taken in by Lord Nishida. Adopted by the family Nishida, Sota has arrived here on the Isle, ready to make a name for himself, even with his curious beliefs.

Speaks in broken Gorean, prefers the Pani language but refrains for obvious reasons.
