Jarek Lydar is a man of the road and the wind, known from the dunes of Turia’s outlands to the wharves of Kasra. Though he claims no city as home, his presence is recognized in every market where silver changes hands and spices fill the air. Broad-shouldered and weathered by the southern sun, Jarek carries himself with the quiet confidence of a man who has earned every coin he owns. His trade caravans are small but loyalbeasts of burden, guarded by men who have seen as much dust and danger as he has. He deals in whatever the road provides: silks from the eastern routes, salt and spice from the desert, metalwork from the north. Some whisper he trades in rarer things still, but Jarek never confirms nor denies. To him, loyalty weighs more than coin, and reputation is a man’s true currency. When he speaks, it is with a voice softened by travel and tempered by experience, a voice that carries the promise of fair trade or quiet warning to those who would cheat him.
