A boondoggle day trip with a Merchant to purchase some supplies , they were arrested within a five ehn conversation. Caught up in the middle of a political war they did not even know was unfolding, a simpleTurmus citizen and a another man's slave girl were detained, charged as suspected spies. Treason. By the grace of the Priest Kings, instead of execution they were released to city arrest, never to be out of sight of the guardsman named Echemus while a full investigation was underway. Would they ever make it home? Likely not. Not until wars end, at least.
