Ulric

Ulric, the bastard of Skjern. He is the descendent of the Rune Priest Gungnir, and the bastard son of Sandulf, who ravaged some free woman from Rorus, the companion of some magistrate whom he had cuckolded. As the pregnancy became more obvioius, Sandulf had her taken on a ship and brought north, where Ulric was born on the sea, just off shore from the Isle of Skjern, where he would grow up under the care of his paternal relatives in the North. Born on the Thassa, he became a merchant ship captain and lived most of his days sailing on the Gleeming blue expanse, his only companion Lady Thassa. His ship, the Slipperly Sleen, has known many ports of call, but it is the dirty infested waters of Kar that he calls home. Some call him a smuggler, some a pirate, some a cutthroat, but few know the truth or even his real name. (the short version with an unreliable narrator)
