Dargan Cernus

Dargan Cernus, Heir of Cernus, was born into the most venerable slaver dynasty of Ar, a House whose lineage stretches over thirty generations. From childhood he was schooled in the wealth and cruelty of his bloodline in the art of appraising flesh, in the codes of the market, and in the guarded traditions of slave training that made the Cernus name feared and respected. Yet Ar turned against its slavers; rivals schemed, factions in the High Castes grew hostile, and kin of his own House tore at one another for power. When the fall of Cernus cast a shadow over Ar, Dargan refused to be trapped in a city that no longer served his ambition.

Carrying with him the prestige of his name and the cold discipline of his training, he now seeks a new city where the banner of Cernus may rise again. He comes not as a beggar, but as an heir, offering coin, knowledge, and the training traditions of his line to any city wise enough to embrace him. For Dargan’s purpose is clear: to rebuild the House of Cernus beyond Ar, to restore its supremacy in the slaver caste, and in time, to return in triumph to the city that once cast him aside.
