In shadows deep, where silence clings,
A boy, with weary heart, does sing.
His eyes, once bright, now dim with fear,
A soul that longs for what is near.

He serves with hands that ache and bleed,
A body worn, yet bound by need.
His master's will, his only fate,
In chains of life, he must await.

But in the dark, when none can see,
A thought, a wish, it comes to be.
To rest in peace, to cease the pain,
To feel the weight of life’s cruel chain
Fall from his soul, and be no more—
To walk beyond death’s silent door.

No more to kneel, no more to please,
No more the lash, nor harsh decrees.
No more the hollow, endless cries
That echo deep within his sighs.

In dreams, he stands beneath the sky,
Where stars above are all he’ll see.
A land where freedom waits in grace,
Where pain and fear leave not a trace.

But here, within this life, he stays,
A shadow lost in endless days.
His wish for death, a quiet plea,
Yet still, he serves—forever free.
