Arrowguard

In the land of Gor, where the skies burned crimson at dusk and the mountains whispered ancient secrets, there lived a warrior whose name echoed through the ages—Arrowguard.

Born under the twin moons of Gor, Arrowguard was no ordinary child. As a boy, he tamed wild drakes with a glance and bested seasoned warriors in mock combat before he could read the runes of his ancestors. His village, nestled in the shadow of the Ironfang Peaks, knew he was destined for greatness.

When the Dark Horde of Varnak descended upon the realm, bringing with them fire, shadow, and despair, the people of Gor turned to their last hope. Clad in armor forged from the scales of the ancient wyrm Thal’Zar, and wielding the legendary blade Starcleaver, Arrowguard stood alone at the gates of the capital.

The battle was fierce. Arrows blackened the sky, and the ground trembled beneath the feet of monstrous warbeasts. But Arrowguard moved like a storm—swift, unrelenting, and untouchable. His blade sang a song of vengeance, and with each swing, a dozen foes fell. Not a single wound marred his skin, for he fought with the courage of a thousand warriors and the precision of a god.

Legends say he faced the Warlord Varnak atop the shattered spire of Dreadspire Keep, where lightning danced and the wind howled like a banshee. Their duel lasted three days and nights, shaking the heavens. In the end, Arrowguard stood victorious, his blade buried deep in the heart of darkness.

Peace returned to Gor, and though many begged him to rule, Arrowguard vanished into the mists of the Evershade Forest, his mission complete. Some say he still walks the land, watching, waiting—ready to rise again should Gor ever need its champion.

And so, the bards sing:
